Plumbing: Residential plumbing, from new home construction to re-piping an older character home or heritage home, or any plumbing problem you can’t handle on your own. To be more specific our services relate to emergency plumbing, sewer services, backflow prevention, appliance hook-up, construction plumbing and commercial plumbing.

Heating: Boiler service, including boiler flush, hydronic system installation and maintenance, zone heating, high-end system boiler replacement, heat pumps and radiant tube heating systems. HVAC maintenance and air conditioning in both residential and commercial settings.

We service forced air furnace systems, or as some call it; central heating in natural gas, electric and propane models. We do furnace service work ranging from a typical furnace cleaning and inspection, furnace repair, furnace replacement and furnace installation. If there is a current rebate available from Fortis we will know about it and help you claim it.

If you are looking at adding and AC unit or a de-humidifier to your central heating system, we will take care of that for you.

Water heaters come in a variety of shapes, sizes and capacities. Our service ranges from a hot water tank flush and check, to hot water tank removal and replacement

Hot water on demand is becoming a popular choice for many now because of the potential saving and the obvious convenience it offers. There are too many types of instant hot water systems to mention here but suffice it to say that we are up to date on all the latest technical aspects of the tankless water heater and will be happy to discuss the best system for your home and family needs.

We service and install tankless water heaters, can perform an inspection of the on-demand water heater in your home and will be happy to replace an older system that is starting to fail.

Drains: When a clogged drain has reared its ugly head and you are unable to fix it, call us to get that taken care of. We specialize in this service and can clear the most stubborn drain problems in any home or business. Interior drains are the most problem we solve, but then a lot of us tend to forget about the exterior drains. Our drain services cover residential and commercial settings.

In Vancouver’s wet climate, perimeter drains are mandatory and need to be inspected at least once every three years. In most cases a quick power flush will take care of a blockage and you’re good for another few years. These drains typically clog up with dirt and debris over time, but also attract roots from trees and plants near your building. We routinely cut out invading roots to clear the pipes and allowing water to flow to the city sewer lines.

A few homes in the GVRD also require a sump pump to keep the water table at reasonable levels, we also service and replace those units.

Sewer lines from your home to the city connection are your responsibility, which comes as a surprise sometimes. No worries, there are so many things going on if you did not know that, you’re not alone.

Another thing to consider is that flow grade can change sometimes depending on circumstances. In most cases the perimeter drains we replace are usually the older clay drain tile installed decades ago before PEX was invented. These days we replace ole weeping tiles with the newer PEX drainage pipe, which tend to last much longer.

Why is “Port” in the Name?

Port Coquitlam is a community of 61,000 with a strategic location in Metro Vancouver, a healthy base of businesses, new commercial and industrial areas, 271 hectares of parkland including the 25-km Traboulay PoCo Trail, well-established neighborhoods, and a strong sense of community spirit known as PoCo Pride.

It also has a reputation for progressive governance and for its innovative approaches to managing waste, sustainable development and using technology to engage the community.

Since it was incorporated on March 7, 1913, Port Coquitlam has experienced significant growth and has strived to remain relevant to the changing times. At the same time, the City has retained its small-town charm, its authentic historic downtown core, and a tradition of community involvement.

It’s common today for folks to wonder why it’s called Port Coquitlam , when the city doesn’t seem to have any shipping facilities. But, yes, Port Coquitlam was once an actual port. Located where the Pitt and Fraser River meet, PoCo was a minor port in the early 20th century, when Canadian Pacific Railways moved its freight center there from Vancouver. Investors at the time envisioned Port Coquitlam becoming a major port to support the many British Columbia gold rushes, but the growth they expected never occurred.
